Christmas Eve
Ingrid wrote her note to Santa, with help from Mama, and left him some cookies, some celery for the reindeer (uh, we forgot carrots…) and went to bed very excited.

We enjoyed another Christmas Eve with Dave’s side of the family. Gaige was so cute, happy to play with Willa, and the big cousins played hide and seek and with their new toys.
Willa’s favorite activity at the San Antonio Zoo was to watch the hippos. Well, she didn’t necessarily see the hippos, but she loved the fish in the hippo tank!
Here are some photos of Ingrid, our cousins Megan and Braden, and some zoo creatures!
On our last day, we went to the San Antonio Zoo! My cousin Megan and her son Braden (who is just 6 weeks older than Willa) came, too. Willa and Braden took a little nap in the middle.
Willa’s favorite was the Hippo tank. She LOVED that. Here are some of Ingrid looking out at the Congress Street bridge, and then more hanging out at Laura and Glenn’s! Ingrid loved using their binoculars to scan the hill country for deer or feral pigs.
Is all that really needs to be said about this set.
If you look close, you’ll see she wore the black right off her shoes (we tossed them after the wedding) and that was after just two uses! She has been informed that there is a Father-Daughter dance in February. Who wants to bet she ends up there this year? The reception was great! Willa slept and ate bits of bread, and all of our family was there.
Ingrid loved the wedding, and Willa slept through almost the whole thing, until they said “Mazel Tov!” at the very end. Ingrid sat with Grammy and Grampy and Kate, Dave did video at the front, and I sat off to the side and back so that if Willa got fussy we could leave without disrupting anything. It was a beautiful wedding!
We stayed at Aunt Laura and Uncle Glenn’s, along with my parents, and Aunt Kate and her boyfriend Matt. It was so nice to be with family! Ingrid liked helping with dinner, too.
